Land Rover Defender Safari with Electricity Powered

Auto Trend - Defender pure electric-powered concept uses an electric motor-powered 59 kW (80 PS), which has a torsional force of 330 Nm and is able to make these vehicles roam as far as 80 km.

Due to its performance that was almost without sound,
this vehicle is also very suitable to slip quietly in the wild as the safari vehicle. So, it’s be a Land Rover Defender Safari EV Concept.

The vehicle that developed locally in South Africa is the result of cooperation between the British car prodsen and local Land Rover specialist Barker Performance Products ( BPP ).

Model of induction electric motor alternating current (AC) air cooling-system used in this vehicle, power is supplied by the battery voltage 300 volts with a capacity of 27 kWh which is made by European companies named Axeon. With permanent all-wheel drive system, this vehicle can surf at speeds up to 60 km / hr.

This vehicle has made its inaugural appearance at the Indaba 2011, which is a tourism activity that was held from 7 to 10 May in Durban, South Africa.
